TAP Micro-Grants Program
The Armenia Project Micro-Grants program aims to empower registered organizations that engage in high-quality storytelling through various formats, including documentaries, multimedia, podcasts, and both traditional and new media. TAP seeks to enhance storytelling and narratives from Armenia that resonate with a global audience on international platforms.
1. Project Submission
Applicants must complete an online application form, providing the following details:
Project Description: Including goals and objectives.
Timeline: Estimated project completion schedule.
Expected Outcomes & Impact: Emphasizing international reach and coverage.
Team Composition: List of key individuals (if more than one) and any partner organizations.
Budget Breakdown: Detailed financial plan.
Risk Assessment: Potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Grant Amount:
The TAP Micro-Grants provide funding ranging from 1000 USD to 2500 USD per project.
The exact amount awarded will depend on the project scope, budget justification, and potential impact.
Funds will be disbursed in a one-time payment at the onset of the grant
2. Interview and Assessment
After an initial selection process, shortlisted applicants will be invited for a personal interview to assess their capacity and expertise.
Based on the interview, projects may be considered eligible for funding.
The TAP team will submit a Recommendation Package to the TAP Board for the final decision. This package will include:
TAP team evaluation notes
Master list of all shortlisted micro-grant applicants
Individual applications and assessments
The TAP Board has the final authority to approve projects.
Once approved, a contract and grant letter will be sent to the recipient organization for review and signing.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Apply?
State-registered organizations, including non-profit organizations, foundations, and sole proprietorships.
Organizations must have at least three years of program outcomes.
Collaborative projects involving one or more organizations are encouraged but not mandatory.
Projects should align with TAP’s mission of promoting sectors like culture, sports, environmental issues, geopolitics, etc, and focus on impactful storytelling through various media formats, including documentaries, multimedia, podcasts, and traditional/new media.
Projects must have an international reach, making them accessible to global media and non-Armenian audiences.
Previous grant recipients of the H. Hovnanian Family Foundation funding are eligible to apply.
What TAP Does Not Fund:
Operational overhead expenses
Team salaries
Non-registered entities or organizations
Political action groups
4. Approval & Orientation
Selected applicants will be invited to a mandatory short orientation session at TAP to clarify expectations and ensure smooth collaboration.
5. Project Execution & Monitoring
Projects must be completed within six months of receiving funds.
TAP will conduct status updates, including:
One in-person meeting at the TAP office.
One online meeting to discuss progress and challenges.
TAP staff remains available to assist/advise when needed.
A final report must be submitted within two weeks of project completion, including:
Project overview and implementation process.
Successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
Projected vs. actual budget with a breakdown of funds spent.
6. Timeline
Announcement date: April 30, 2025
Application Deadline: May 21, 2025
Announcement of Grant Winners: June 9, 2025
Project Completion: December 5, 2025
Final Report Deadline: December 18, 2025
